A Leesburg man whose driver’s license has been suspended seven times was arrested Thursday afternoon when he was caught back behind the wheel.

A K-9 officer was watching the parking lot of the Family Discount Mart on Griffin Road after receiving information that there had been narcotics activity in the area, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

When the officer saw 30-year-old Eugene Moton drive up and enter the store, the officer recognized him from previous contacts. He ran a records check and found that Moton’s driving privileges are still suspended.

He watched Moton go in and out of the store several times. The officer pulled behind Moton’s car and placed him under arrest for felony driving while suspended after two previous convictions. Moton was transported to the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $2,000. He posted bond and was released.
