Dorothy Conway, 89, formerly of Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2021 at Hospice of Palm Beach County in the Gerstenberg Hospice Center, Located in Trustbridge in West Palm Beach, Florida under the loving care of her Family and Staff of Hospice. Dorothy was born on March 23, 1932 in Nocatee, Florida to her parents David Yarbrough and Malzie (Daniels) Yarbrough.

She and her late husband James moved to Leesburg in 1981 from Belle Glade, Florida. James and Dorothy were the owners of The Western Auto Store in Leesburg from 1981 to 1994. She was a very devoted member of The First Baptist Church of Leesburg and was active in the church and its outreach ministries. Dorothy loved to work and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a former member of the First Baptist Church in Belle Glade.

She is survived by her two loving children: David Conway and his wife Lisa of Birmingham, Al and Cindy Lutz and her husband Wally of Wellington, FL; five grandchildren: Katie Wohlwend and her husband Jonathan, Bayly Conway, Chad Lutz, Emily Ames and her husband Joe and Jason Belt; two great-grandchildren: Charlie Wohlwend and Dottie Wohlwend. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a beloved son, Mike Conway, her beloved husband, James Conway, two brothers, Doyal Yarbrough and Otis Yarbrough and a sister, Opal Davis.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 12:00PM (Noon) at The First Baptist Church of Leesburg in the Chapel with Pastor Charles Roesel officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00AM till the hour of service in the chapel. She will be laid to rest following the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, Fl.

The family has requested donations be made to the Christian Care Center in care of The First Baptist Church of Leesburg at 220 North 13th Street Leesburg, FL 34748 in Dorothy’s loving memory.
