Leesburg man arrested with machete and hypodermic needles

A Leesburg man was arrested with a machete and hypodermic needles in his vehicle after he was pulled over Wednesday night by a Lake County sheriff’s deputy.

William Scott Fogg, 35, was pulled over on Panther Road after the deputy was dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle. During the traffic stop, a search turned up several hypodermic needles, a knife near the driver’s door and a machete, found under the seat. One of the needles contained a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Fogg was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a concealed weapon.  He was booked at the Lake County Jail on $3,500 bond.
