Larry Allen Wasylchak (59) of Leesburg, Florida passed away July 22, 2021. He was born July 30, 1961 in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Larry is survived by his dear wife of 14+ years, Jami Bryant Wasylchak; his children, Stephen Wasylchak (Olivia) of Lawrence, KS, Brantley McConnell of Leesburg, FL and Heather Nolan (Tyler) of Leesburg, FL. He was blessed with grandchildren Jovany Martinez, Landon McConnell, Kinsley McConnell, Maximilian Wasylchak and Owen Nolan. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Gangluff, Lee Wasylchak and Lyle Wasylchak. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Phyllis Aldrich Wasylchak and his first wife, Maxine Thilmoney.

Larry was a longtime owner/operator of a pest control business among other various jobs. Most recently, he served as a security host, first for a private company; then the Leesburg Regional Medical Center and ultimately he “guarded the magic!” (his words) at Disney World. Larry loved to volunteer. He was a Boy Scout Troop leader for years with a heart to go the extra mile in mentoring scouts, many of whom advanced to the rank of Eagle, as well as the Order of the Arrow. He also, with Jami, was certified with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Division to teach hunter education classes. He, himself, enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He was a “Jack-of-all-trades.” Being vocationally trained as an electrician, he learned how to do most everything else for himself and to help others, which he often did. Larry also loved to learn. His favorite “classrooms” were the History and the Discovery channels. Some would say at his 6’4” stature, he was intimidating to look at but he had a heart of gold, especially for his grandchildren. He has left many memories and will be sorely missed.
