Dorothy J. Irwin, 90, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on July 15th, 2021.
Dorothy, known by here friends as Dot, was born April 12th, 1931, in Gainesville, Florida to parents Lessie Ann Lambert and Nigel Mitchel Tucker.
Dorothy was married to her loving husband, David H. Irwin, who passed on February 15th, 1999. Dorothy and David loved their family very much and worked extremely hard all their lives. She worked packing oranges at Lake Region Packing Association in Tavares for over 25 years. She also loved to go fishing and to camp with her family at places like Shell Mound in Cedar Key and Blue Springs in Deland.
A Celebration of Life Service conducted by Pastor Bishop Sandy Gamble will be held at Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home Chapel, located at 226 East Burleigh Boulevard, Tavares, Florida at 11am on July 21st. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her three loving children: sons; Marty A. Irwin and Richard E. Irwin and daughter Sandra Bivins, four grandchildren; Toni Bivins, Martin F. Irwin, Amy E. Irwin and David Bancroft, and two great grandchildren; Christopher Bivins and Brandi Lowrance.
She will be missed very much by her friends and family. God has her under his wing now.
