Ruth Alice Wikane, 83, Ocala (formerly of Leesburg), Florida went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2021 at Lifecare Center in Ocala, Florida.
Ruth was born on October 5, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to her parents Gunnar Erik Anderson and Lottie (Johnson) Anderson. She and her loving husband George moved to Leesburg in 1994 from Valley Stream, Long Island, New York and had recently moved to Ocala. She had worked as a Podiatry Assistant while living in Valley Stream, Long Island. Ruth was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church in Leesburg, Florida. She loved working and creating ceramics as well as enjoyed golf and crocheting, but most of all being surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 63 years: George D. Wikane of Ocala, FL; three sons: Erik Wikane of Key West, FL, Chris Wikane and his wife Angela of Bel Air, MD and Daniel Wikane of Puyallup, WA; a daughter: Kim Crump and her husband Joseph of Boody, IL; a sister: Marie Madarasz and her husband Charlie of Margate, FL; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved son, Andrew Wikane.
Private Family Services will be held at a later date. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations to be made to Morrison United Methodist Church in Ruth’s loving memory.
