Motorcyclist airlifted to local trauma center after motorcycle crash in Leesburg

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Leesburg on Tuesday.

Leesburg firefighters provide treatment to an injured motorcyclist Tuesday afternoon after a crash in the area of 14th Street and Sunshine Avenue.

Leesburg firefighters responded to the afternoon call in the area of 14th Street and Sunshine Avenue. The motorcyclist was deemed a trauma alert and was airlifted to a nearby trauma center, a report states.

The crew from Engine 62 handled the call, along with a battalion chief and an ambulance from Lake EMS. Officers from the Leesburg Police Department also responded to the crash.
