Sumter County sheriff’s detectives are seeking help in nabbing a wallet bandit who went on a recent shopping spree.
The woman pictured above is accused of taking a wallet she found in a shopping cart at the Bushnell Wal-Mart and using the cash to make purchases at the store. She then left the wallet in another shopping cart in the parking lot, a sheriff’s office report states.
The woman was believed to be driving a full-size Ford or Dodge pickup truck. Anyone with information about the crime or the woman is asked to contact Detective S. Pettitt at (352) 793-2621 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477) and reference case number 5943.
