John L. Alisi

John L. Alisi, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 28, 2023.

He was born in Leesburg, Florida on February 27, 1940 and graduated from Leesburg High School in 1958. He married Marilyn “Nan” Scaff in 1961. He was a lifelong resident of Leesburg. He was a member and deacon of Leesburg Missionary Baptist Church. Johnny retired after a long career as a salesman for the Merita Bread Company. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Nan Alisi; daughters, Lisa Odom (Rickey) of Howey in the Hills and Nanette Tyer (John) of Leesburg; sisters Yvonne Hollins of The Villages and Ramona Moehring of Tucson, Arizona; sisters-in-law Teresa Alisi of Polk City and Emma Joy Finney (Mark) of Orlando; brother-in-law Richard Hurley of Ocala; grandchildren, Michael Miller, Alisi Cuppels (Michael), Nathan Odom, Anna-Marie Miller, Amy Story (Quintin), Jeremy Odom and Mari-Lyn Bass (Ryan) and 11 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, John Alisi, mother Rose Alisi, brother Chris Alisi, and sister Mary Alisi Hurley.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd at Leesburg Missionary Baptist Church, 2340 South St. Leesburg, FL 34748. The family will receive visitors at Page Theus funeral home, 914 W. Main St. Leesburg, Florida on Tuesday, January 2nd from 6-8 pm. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1901 CR 25-A Leesburg, Florida.
