Van E. Hicks, 84 of Leesburg, FL passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023. He was born August 3, 1938, in Cinco, WV to mother, Rosie Lee Hicks.
Van served his country until Retirement with the U.S. Navy. He was a long-time resident of Madison, OH where he was a Lifetime Member of the VFW Post 8548.
He was a Pro/Manager of Golf Courses such as Village Green Golf Course and Geneva-on-the-Lake. He also worked at Erie Shores Golf Course, Powderhorn Golf Course.
After he moved to Florida, he became involved with American Legion Post 219, Amvets Post 2006, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1271 and Fraternal Order of Eagles 4273.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years and their 3 yr. old pet companion, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
