Weldon Gene Shealy was born June 8, 1933 to John and Ester Shealy in New Washington, Ohio, Weldon died at the age of 89 in Leesburg, FL peacefully on March 8, 2023. Weldon was married to Carol Kent Shealy and had four sons together. Weldon later happily married Vi Shealy March 20, 1975. Weldon was a Veteran of the US ARMY. Before the ARMY he worked at Shelby Airforce Depot as a machinist and ended his career at Timken Company as a machinist. Weldon and Vi retired to their favorite community Molokai where they made numerous friends that they also considered family,

Weldon loved singing and was a member of a Male Barbershop Quartet, sang in the church choir, loved camping, loved spending time with his family, enjoyed travelling, and was curious about everything. He enjoyed playing cards and putting puzzles together in his spare time. He also loved his ROMEO guys luncheons in Leesburg, FL. Retired Old Men Eating Out – even had shirts made! Weldon had the biggest heart and always made everyone laugh. Weldon was a strong Christian man who loved his church Good Hope Lutheran in Bucyrus, Ohio and Graceway Church in Leesburg, Florida.

He is preceded by his parents John and Ester Shealy, siblings Ivan Shealy, Miriam Yaussy, Kenneth Shealy, and Bud Shealy, and step daughter Melissa.

Weldon is survived by his loving wife Vi Shealy; his sister, Doris Strohm; his four sons, Mark (Debbie) Shealy, Taddeus (Kelly) Shealy, Lance (Nikki) Shealy; six grandchildren, Alan (Brittany Shealy), Katie Shealy, Ryan Shealy, Quinn Shealy, Avery Shealy, Ian Shealy; two great grandchildren, Jordan & Aubrie; stepsons Steve Hancock, Chris Hancock; step grandchildren Casey Reinhart, Curtis Hancock, Travis Hancock and Joshua Hancock.

The family suggests memorials to Good Hope Lutheran Church in Bucyrus Ohio in honor of his loving memory.
