A Leesburg man reportedly had methamphetamine and a pipe in his pocket when he was being arrested for trespassing at the local Walmart on Wednesday.

Leesburg police officers responded to the store, located at 2501 Citrus Blvd., at around 2 p.m. after receiving a complaint about a man who had previously been issued a trespass warning. Officers found the suspect inside the store and he was identified as Steven Ashley Wilson, 43, of 2345 South St., according to the police report.

A records check showed Wilson was trespassed from the store on Oct. 20 and he was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, officers found in Wilson’s front-left shorts pocket a transparent pipe and a white crystal substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine, the report said.

Wilson was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing after a warning. He’s being held in Lake County Jail on $4,000 bond and is due in Lake Count Court on Jan. 3.
