Mary Joann Washburn, 80, of Mount Dora, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022.
Born in Findlay, Ohio, she moved to Mount Dora in 1984 from McComb, Ohio. She was a Pharmacy Technician for K-Mart for many years prior to retiring. Mary enjoyed her weekly lunches with friends and cooking weekly dinners for her family. She loved playing games. Bowling and volleyball when younger and card games and dominos in her later years with friends and family.
Mary is survived by her 2 daughters, Bethany (Gene) Newell, Umatilla, FL, Jackie Robinson, Mount Dora, FL; son, Alvy Joe (Janice) Washburn, Lady Lake, FL; sister, Teri Tuggle, Mount Dora, FL; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman James Washburn; son-in-law, Michael Robinson; brother, Bob Sterling; 3 sisters, Janet Gaugush, Lois Pendleton and Donelda Neer.
A memorial service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
