Thomas “Tom/Tommy” W. Scott passed away on August 28, 2022.
He was born in Bristol, PA on July 22, 1930. He graduated high school in 1948 and joined the Air Force. He served in Europe during the Korean War and attained the rank of Sergeant.
After his discharge he married Judith Worthington in October 1956. Tom lived in PA where he worked in banking and transportation, and raised three daughters with Judy. They moved to Florida to get warm in 1999, where he resided until his death.
Tom loved watching sports and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. He also loved playing cards and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Grace EPC in Leesburg, FL.
He is survived by his wife Judith L. (nee Worthington) Scott and daughters Karen McQueen, Kim Matyi, and Amy Andris. Son-in-law Dave Andris. Grandchildren Nick, Melanie, Sean, Sam, Melissa and Casey. Great-grandson Greyson, and sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Rodger Adams.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in the fall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace EPC, Building Fund, PO Box 49000, Leesburg, FL 34748 and/or Vitas Healthcare, 6909 Old Hwy 441, Suite 105, Mount Dora, FL 32757.
