Cathryn Ann ‘Kitty’ Yost, 73, passed away Friday, July 22nd at her home in Leesburg, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.

Kitty was born December 12, 1948, in Winter Haven, Florida to Lonnie C. and Vesta Ford. She was the second, (and some say most rebellious) of “The Ford Girls”, Carol Vesta Johnson, Leesburg, FL; Gayle “Christy” Tennyson, Leesburg, FL; and Cevie Lynn Kirkland, Clairmore, OK. She graduated from Mulberry High School in Mulberry, Florida. She made friends easily but quick to ‘tell it like its is’- so you always knew where you stood with her. Kitty worked for many years as a bartender but more recently had discovered her true calling, caring for others as a Home Health Aide. Finally retiring at age 65. She loved God, reading her bible, music, spending time with friends, family, and especially her little toy poodle, Penny. She was also very proud to share that both of her children had served in the U.S. Navy.

She is survived by her son Perry and his wife Katherine Rhodes of Lake Mary, FL; daughter, Ginny and her husband Keith ‘Mr. Ginny’ Wieder of Vero Beach, FL, granddaughters: Andrea and her husband Adam Kicklighter of Lake Mary, FL, Audrey Rhodes, Lake Mary, FL, Emily and her husband Nick Fanelli, of Wildwood, FL, and Meagan Arsenault and her fiancé Dylan Permenter and a great-grandson, Dawson James, of Sebastian, FL.
