A woman driving a red BMW was arrested after allegedly attacking a woman with a hammer.

Officers were dispatched Sunday afternoon to the area of 120 North Boulevard where a caller reported that a woman friend of her ex-boyfriend had tried to run her off the road, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

When officers arrived on the scene, they saw a woman jump out of the red BMW. She had a hammer in her hand and smashed the driver’s side window of the vehicle of the woman who had called 911. An officer gave the hammer-wielding woman an order to go back to the front of her car. She started to comply with the officer’s order, but attempted to renew the attack when the other woman began to exit her vehicle.

The BMW driver, later identified as 20-year-old Miracle Johnson of Leesburg, was subdued by the officer. Johnson gave the arresting officer a false name when asked for identification.

Johnson was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, providing a false identification to a law enforcement officer, burglary auto with assault or battery and operating a motor vehicle without a license. Johnson was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $13,000.
