Lake County to launch new website on Wednesday

Lake County is inviting the public to preview their new website before its official launch on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The website was developed to provide residents with a more streamlined, user-friendly e-government experience and is available for preview at https://web.lakecountyfl.gov.

Developed internally by the Lake County Office of Communications with support from the Information Technology Department, the website was designed to be citizen oriented, prioritize content based on users’ web traffic and offer an improved mobile experience.

“Our team wanted to create a website that was consistent with current standards and users’ expectations,” said Levar Cooper, director for the Office of Communications. “Throughout this process, we sought to understand how people were using the site and implement features to improve their experience.”

The website features the following:

  • Improved user interface
  • Mobile-friendly design
  • Streamlined content
  • Built to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2 Level AA Conformance
