A Leesburg woman has been charged with punching and kicking a woman who came to check on her after hearing her scream.

Lisa Hulsey, 56, was at her boyfriend’s house on Sterling Way when a neighbor who was arriving home on her golf cart around 8 p.m. July 28 heard screaming coming from the house and went over to find out what was happening.

Hulsey greeted her by throwing underwear at her, which the woman threw back. When the woman asked her to stop screaming so people wouldn’t think she was being hurt, Hulsey screamed again and punched her on the head and nose, then kicked her in the groin knocking her glasses off as a man in the neighborhood tried to help, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Hulsey was arrested Monday after her victim managed to track down her home address and provided it to police.

Hulsey was booked at the Lake County Jail on a first-degree misdemeanor battery charge and released on $1,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 18.
