The Lake County Tax Collector has returned to normal business hours amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tax Collector David W. Jordan said his office will continue to utilize the technological improvements and other positive changes to enhance services that have come about amid the Coronavirus pandemic. He also promised that the level of health safety measures put in place during the past year will continue.

The tax office also will continue to use alternative methods for completing transactions, such as online vehicle registration renewals and property tax payments, mail-in and drop-box services, and the ExpressLane service for vehicle registration renewals.

“Most importantly, we want to express our collective appreciation for the sacrifice, patience and kindness the public has extended to use over the last year,” Jordan said. “We also want to convey our heartfelt condolences for those who have suffered the loss of loved ones, and to give strength to the caregivers serving those still battling the virus.”
