Cornelia Retha Smith, 92, formerly of Leesburg, Florida went to her heavenly reward on March 28, 2021. She was born on August 21, 1928. She was the last sibling of eleven children, she was the beloved wife and ministerial partner of Rev. Baswell Smith for 77 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend to everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband: Baswell Smith; children: Wanda, Patricia, Earl, Sterling, Stewart, and Marcus. She is preceded in death by her daughter Frances Peel.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 31, from 6-8pm at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel in Leesburg, Florida. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 1 at 10am also at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Tavares Cemetery.
