A Leesburg Police senior officer was honored Friday by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Shannon Walsh received the honor for being the department’s top enforcer against drivers operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Walsh accounted for 41 DUI arrests last year. She also serves as a member of the Lake County DUI Task Force, which brings additional officers into Leesburg for DUI enforcement on a regular basis.
