A Leesburg woman was arrested for battery after allegedly hitting her ex-boyfriend in the face with a crutch.
Officers responded to a fight between 23-year-old Tinesha Ann Rogers and her ex-boyfriend, the father of her child, at an undisclosed Leesburg residence around 3:50 p.m. Saturday, July 4, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

After being separated, Rogers advised that she went to the address to get some of her property. She started arguing with her ex-boyfriend, during which she felt threatened because he repeatedly told her to leave. She then struck him with a crutch, the report said.
But the ex-boyfriend explained that Rogers struck him in the face with the crutch. He slapped her in self-defense and to create some space between them. He sustained a bloody laceration on the left side of his face, which was treated on scene by EMS, the report said.
Two witnesses advised that the former couple was arguing when Rogers struck her ex-boyfriend in the face with the crutch. They refused to say anything else, the report said.
Rogers was subsequently arrested on charge of simple battery (domestic). She was booked at the Lake County Jail abnd released after posting $1,000 bond.
