A pair of sisters from Lehigh Acres will appear in court for stealing a combined total of $77.68 merchandise from Walmart.
A deputy responded to Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, regarding a theft at 9:35 p.m. Friday, July 3, according to a case report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The asset protection team advised that 47-year-old Delisha Lashonda Gadsden and 45-year-old Felicia Michelle Gadsden had bagged multiple unscanned items.
Surveillance footage showed the two sisters working together to bypass the scanner entirely. Delisha scanned swimwear and occasionally bypassed the scanner with a pair of swimming clothes. Felicia would scan a few items and skip the rest, placing them all in the bagging area, the report said.
A total of three items valued at $37.94 were associated with Delisha. A total of 11 items valued at $39.74 were associated with Felicia, the report said.
Both were issued notices to appear for retail theft on July 28
