Richard B. Archer, age 90, of Mt. Dora, Florida, passed away on June 28, 2026.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his devotion to family, sense of humor and ability to connect with anyone around him.Richard was born in Chicago, Illinois. Over the years, he built a life defined by service and meaningful work, including time with the United States Air Force in the 1950s. He later worked as a funeral director for a few years in that same decade.

In the 1960s, Richard served as a supervisor with East Texas Motor Freight, and later moved into medical equipment sales, where he advanced into sales leadership roles from the 1970s through the 1990s.In his free time, Richard found joy in what he loved most: golf, flying, and the wonderful memories made through travel with his wife and family. Above all, he cherished time with the people he loved-sharing stories, offering guidance, and celebrating life together.

SurvivorsRichard is survived by his wife, Jeannine Archer, married for nearly 68 years and by four sons and their families:Scott Archer, married to MariaChildren: Lisa Phillips (married to Alex Phillips) – grandchildren Ryan and BlakeMichael Archer (married to Katie) – grandchildren Ava, Cole, and LillyGlenn ArcherChris Archer, married to JenaChildren: Tracy Burleson (married to Patrick Burleson) – grandchildren Paxton, Taisley, Paiden, PaceCharlene Amador (married to Jesus Amador) – child CarmeloJohn Archer – engaged to be married to Melissa ThomasKevin ArcherDale Archer, married to JenniferChildren: Alexandra Archer, Aidan Archer, and Jessica Archer.
