
Harry Robert Hoagland, 81, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on June 19, 2026.
For over 50 years, Harry built a life anchored in the warm weather of central Florida. He was a man of character who measured life not in accomplishments, but in his relationships. Harry had an amazing sense of humor and was known for the perfectly timed quips that added levity to any situation. He loved spending time with his family every summer at the beach and entertaining his friends at home. He was an avid golfer who was happiest on the course or watching tournaments on TV.
Harry was born and raised in the Washington DC area and graduated Montgomery Blair High School in 1962.He enjoyed attending his Blair reunions and often met local classmates for lunch or a round of golf.
He is survived by his loving children, Steve (Doreen) of Marlton, New Jersey, and Paulina Brewer (Jim) of Tallahassee, Florida; his daughter-in-law, Renee Hoagland; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Jamie Pinto (Matt), Hunter, Steven, Julia (Shane), Dillon and Dawson. He is also survived by his sister Madeline Prioreschi of Columbia, South Carolina and his brother Philip Jr. of Frederick, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Timothy, on July 24, 2025.
A Celebration of Harry’s Life will be held with close family and friends.
