Thomas George Klein, age 82; of Cleveland, Ohio and Leesburg, Florida September 24, 1943-June 28, 2026

Thomas Klein was born to the late Arthur and Mary (Patoma) Klein. Tom was the beloved husband of Karen (Babe) whose life was forever enriched by his love, devotion and generous heart.

Tom was the loving father of Thomas (TJ) Klein, Timothy Klein (deceased) and Tiffany Klein. Tom was also a loving stepfather to his bonus children, Jennifer (Thomas) O’Donoghue, Denise (Tony) Chiaravalle, and Todd (Cindi) O’Neill.

Tom was grandfather and great grandfather to many. Too numerous to mention but Grandpa Tom was cherished by them all and he cherished each and every one as well.

Of course we can’t forget Tom’s most recent furry friend and buddy Clyde. He also loved Cricket his deceased furry friend. Always a soft spot for his canine friends.

Tom was a proud steelworker for LTV Steel in Cleveland, Ohio along with being a Union Representative for 35 years. Oh the stories he could tell about his years at the mill. He always had his co-workers back and fought hard for each grievance.

Tom was also a proud Army Veteran during the Viet Nam Era (1965). He loved this country like no other and was proud to be an American. He loved the history of this country and could talk about it all day.

Tom loved traveling. Cruising was his favorite vacation. Fortunately, he was able to do a lot of that in his retirement. Tom loved living in Florida and felt as though living here was the best vacation all year! He never wanted to see another snowflake. I will make sure he doesn’t! He also loved a good meal at a good restaurant and he had his favorite places to go.

Tom was also a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Football. He always said it’s not easy being a Brown’s fan but then again they never lost a Super Bowl! He had the best sense of humor. He could always make you laugh and at the same time bring a tear to your eye with his soft heart. He had a tough exterior and a gruff voice but his insides were mush. The word “No” was never a part of his vocabulary.

Tom will always be remembered for his generosity and his charitable ways. His heart was as big as he was, never wanting any recognition or praise for the things he did. He would just go about doing it in his own secretive way. If he saw a person in need he would be the first to help, even if you were a stranger. He had a true zest for life and so grateful for his many blessings in life and always wanted to pay it forward. He would always say, don’t worry, things always work out the way they should. Stress was a wasted feeling in his eyes.

Tom was one of the best and could not have asked for a better husband, parent, grandparent and we will all miss him terribly. I hope when you think of Tom, his memory will bring a smile. He would love that. He will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. Until we meet again my love may you rest in peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior and may perpetual light shine upon you.

Don’t forget! Between hello and goodbye there was LOVE! SO MUCH LOVE.
