A Lady Lake woman with several warrants was arrested with methamphetamine during a traffic stop at Circle K.
Officers observed a white Jeep fail to maintain its lane as it turned onto West Main Street around 10:35 p.m. Saturday, June 27, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The vehicle was subsequently pulled over at the nearby Circle K, where law enforcement recognized the passenger, 47-year-old Brittany Suzanne Johansen.

Law enforcement suspected she had an active Lake County warrant and asked for her name. She was hesitant but still told them. A check of her records revealed she had a Lake County warrant for fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer, possession of methamphetamine and driving while license suspended or revoked (second offense). There was also a Sumter County warrant for violating her probation for possession of methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia, the report said.
Johansen was then arrested and searched. Officers discovered a yellow zip-top baggie with 1.7 grams of methamphetamine in her front right pants pocket, the report said.
She was ultimately charged for the warrants and possession of methamphetamine. She was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $11,000.
Johansen was also one of two arrested with drugs in Feb. 2025, for illegally turning her water back on in Aug. 2022, and for possession of methamphetamine in March 2021.
