A Fruitland Park teen was arrested for battery after allegedly attacking a neighbor during an ongoing dispute.
A deputy responded to a battery involving 19-year-old Aiyana Rose Bryant at a residence on Sunnyside Drive in Fruitland Park on Thursday, June 24, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The complainant advised that Bryant had come to the property and battered his girlfriend on the porch. One of the boys had stomped on his girlfriend’s bike in the yard, as well. Footage from a camera mounted on the porch showed Bryant running up behind the girlfriend and attacking. Audio recorded screaming and banging, the report said.
The girlfriend advised that she had known Bryant since she was 9 years old and had babysat her. However, she had been experiencing ongoing issues with the neighbors for about two months. She described incidents where a male on a four-wheeler charged at her and nearly struck her, the report said.
Two days prior, males in a white truck had yelled at her and threatened to fight her. The previous night, Bryant approached her, asked who she was and charged at her, forcing her to flee on her bike. She was walking up to visit friends that night when Bryant came through the gate and attacked again without warning. She kicked the girlfriend’s face, pulled her hair, threw a ladder on top of her and kicked her on the ground, the report said.
The girlfriend sustained swelling and a bump on the right side of her face, where she indicated she had been kicked. Her hip hurt from being slammed to the ground, the report said.
The deputy responded to J B’s Discount Food and Beverage to speak with Bryant around 10:13 p.m. Bryant advised that the girlfriend rode her bike to Bryant’s mother’s residence and walked up the ramp onto the front porch. Bryant walked from across the street and opened the gate to confront the girlfriend about the ongoing harassment, the report said.
The girlfriend was knocking on the door, trying to get inside the home, when Bryant asked why she was intentionally targeting them. The girlfriend acted as if nothing had happened and stated she was her mother’s friend. The girlfriend then slapped Bryant, who fought back, the report said.
The deputy subsequently informed Bryant about the footage that showed her and another individual approaching the girlfriend from across the street. She maintained that the girlfriend walked up the ramp to her mother’s front porch. Bryant confronted her about flipping them off and throwing rocks at them in the past, which started the altercation, the report said.
Bryant was arrested on charge of simple battery and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
