Deloris Sears was welcomed into the Lord’s loving arms on June 18, 2026, at the age of 58.

Deloris was born April 21, 1968, in Eustis, Florida to the late Harold Sears, Jr. and Deloris Sears. She graduated from Mount Dora High School in 1986 and Valencia College, where she pursued an education in Criminal Justice. She began her career with the Florida Department of Corrections in August of 1999 at the Central Florida Reception Center (C.F.R.C), where she faithfully dedicated 25.5 years of distinguished service as a Correctional Officer.

She lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and grace, offering each of these qualities freely to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She possessed a devoted dedication to the Lord, grounding her actions in faith, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to serving others with sincerity and purpose. Whether traveling to new places, enjoying the simple pleasure of shopping, or brightening a room with her gentle presence, she carried herself with a quiet elegance that left a lasting impression.

Her ability to bring comfort, warmth, and a sense of calm to any environment was not merely a trait but a gift—one she shared generously and without expectation. In every season of her life, she exemplified dignity, devotion, and an unwavering spirit, leaving behind a legacy defined by the beauty of her character and the depth of her faith.

Deloris was preceded in death by her brothers: Timothy Sears and Clarence Sears

She leaves behind precious cherished memories for her siblings: Sisters: Lavern Sears (Clifford Difton), Valerie Sears Johnson (Melvin ), Tonya Sears Johnson (Sandey), Shauntrell Sears (Joshua Carter), Danisha Sears, Currisa Sears Mathurin (Jashawn), LaToya Sears, and Sheena Hills; Brothers: Harold Sears III, Marcus Sears (Nikki), Michael Sears (Latecha), and Markese Sears, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
