A Leesburg woman was arrested after allegedly battering her boyfriend at Circle K over an altercation at a club.
Officers responded to Circle K, located at 900 S 14th St., for a verbal disturbance between 41-year-old Alexis Dominique Hodges and her boyfriend of five years around 12:35 a.m. Monday, June 22, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

The complainant advised that he did not see a physical altercation, but he saw the boyfriend get into a black truck while Hodges entered a white Nissan. Law enforcement found the only black truck matching that description in the area of Canal Street and Dixie Avenue, so they stopped it for an interview, the report said.
While speaking with the boyfriend, the officers noticed he was actively bleeding from his nose and had a two-inch knot on his forehead. He stated he had been battered with a stiletto high heel, but he could not say where it happened. He was uncooperative with questioning and stated he was not concerned about the incident, although he identified Hodges as the culprit, the report said.
An officer subsequently returned to Circle K to obtain surveillance footage from the gas station. It showed two vehicles parked in front of the store at 12:30 a.m. The boyfriend got out of the Nissan to enter the store, with Hodges following behind him from the black truck. The former was already bleeding from his nose at the time, the report said.
Hodges continuously yelled at him and followed him back outside. She then jumped on him from behind, wrapped her arm around his neck, brought him to the ground and held him there for about 40 seconds. After he freed himself, he got into the backseat of the Nissan and closed the door, the report said.
Hodges proceeded to open the door and continued the argument. She threw her body into the vehicle and lay on top of her boyfriend. The camera did not capture any movements inside the vehicle, the report said.
Around 5:15 that morning, an officer responded to Hodges’s home on Angel Fish Loop to talk about the incident. She advised that she and her boyfriend had been at a club in Wildwood when another woman struck him in the face. Hodges tried speaking to him, but he left, the report said.
The couple later arrived at Circle K, where Hodges kept asking questions about what happened at the club. They began to argue, and when he ignored her, she pulled him down to get his attention. She acknowledged that he never touched her and actively tried to pull away, the report said.
She further explained that the truck her boyfriend left in belonged to him. She got a ride from the occupants of the Nissan back to her Jeep and then returned to the club, the report said.
A check of Hodges’s criminal history determined she had a prior battery conviction in Hernando County on April 5, 2012, the report said.
Hodges was arrested on charge of domestic battery (second or subsequent offense). She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,500 bond.
