An Ocala woman was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after running a red light while trying to get home.
An officer watched 42-year-old Tiffany Nicole Johnston drive a red sedan through a red light at State Road 25 and Picciola Cutoff Road at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, June 20, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.

After being stopped, Johnston fumbled for her license and asked several times what else the officer needed before providing the registration, the report said. The officer noticed the strong smell of perfume coming from the vehicle and asked if she had anything to drink, which she denied. But her slow responses, mush mouth, and glassy, bloodshot eyes indicated otherwise.
Johnston advised that she was on her way home to Ocala. The report noted this was north of Fruitland Park, yet she was traveling south.
She was subsequently asked to participate in field sobriety exercises, and she refused. She later refused to provide breath samples, either, the report said.
Johnston was arrested on charges of DUI and refusal to submit to DUI testing. She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.
