A Honduran was extradited from Texas on a warrant charging him with having sex with a juvenile girl in Lake County.

A Lake County deputy met with a female juvenile victim on May 28 to listen to her testimony regarding intercourse with 35-year-old Alexander Aguirre Perez, according to an affidavit of probable cause out of Lake County. She knew him only as “Alexander,” but she had intercourse with him twice at his residence on May 26 and 27.

The juvenile victim described having intercourse both days in his bedroom, after which he wiped her genital area with a T-shirt. A forensic exam at the Child Advocacy Center found signs of physical trauma to her genitals, the affidavit said.

On May 29, a detective executed a search warrant at Aguirre Perez’s home in Sorrento. His bedroom layout and content were as the juvenile victim described. Some of the clothing worn by Aguirre Perez during the crimes was taken as evidence, the affidavit said.

Additionally, a Honduran passport was located during the search, the affidavit said. This confirmed his identity.

Law enforcement tracked Aguirre Perez to the Hidalgo County Jail in Edinburg, Texas, where he had been arrested on a warrant charging him with two counts of lewd or lascivious battery (victim age 12 to 16). Deputies flew to Texas and brought him back to Lake County. He was booked at the  Lake County Jail where he was being held without bond.
