A Minneola couple was arrested for assault after allegedly threatening to kill one another with a firearm.
Deputies responded to a battery complaint at the home of 61-year-old Lezlee Anderson and her husband, 59-year-old Michael Todd Anderson, around 11:15 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Lezlee advised that she was arguing with Michael in their bedroom when he threw his cane at her, so she grabbed his firearm from the kitchen counter. She admitted to holding it up in the air and threatening to shoot him if he grabbed her. He still grabbed her by the throat and held her, but he did not strangle her, the report said.
Michael then got up, snatching the firearm and his cane away from Lezlee. He pointed the former at her and stated he would kill her, the report said.
However, according to Michael, he was lying in his bed in his room when Lezlee came in speaking negatively. They started to argue, and she retrieved his firearm from the kitchen to point at him. He threw his cane at her just before getting up from the bed and taking both items from her possession, the report said.
He put the firearm on his bedside table before rolling over. Lezlee subsequently came back into the bedroom and took the firearm, the report said.
Lezlee later showed law enforcement a video that was only audio because the phone was placed camera-down. They heard the couple yelling at each other while threatening to kill one another. They both screamed at each other, and it appeared they were fighting about the firearm, the report said.
This firearm was ultimately found on the back porch of the residence, where Lezlee told dispatchers she was located during her call to 911. Both she and Michael expressed fear that the other was going to cause harm to them with the firearm, the report said.
Both were arrested on charge of aggravated assault (domestic) and booked at Lake County Jail. While Lezlee was released after posting $2,500 bond, Michael remains in jail on $2,500 bond.
