A Fruitland Park woman was arrested for battery after allegedly scratching her boyfriend during a domestic dispute.

A deputy responded to a battery involving 49-year-old Amy Suzanne Krusko and her on-again, off-again boyfriend of four to five years at their Fruitland Park home at 9:10 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The boyfriend stood in the driveway while speaking with the deputy, who noticed numerous scratches on his chest and back. He refused to answer any questions or to allow photographs of his injuries. He did not want to fill out an affidavit or press charges, either, the report said.

The officer next talked to Krusko on the porch of the residence. She advised that the couple got into a dispute over continuous issues, and they just went at it. She also refused to answer questions, but she had already admitted to lunging and scratching at her boyfriend. He reacted by shoving her away, the report said.

Krusko was subsequently arrested on charge of simple battery (domestic). The Maine native was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $1,000 bond.
