Frank F. Schweers, Feb 6, 1933 – Nov 3, 2025
Age 92, of Leesburg, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Monica, and two daughters: Sandy and Karen. He is survived by sons: Carl (Pamela) and Greg (Denise) and daughter, Sharon (Tony), along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He served honorably as an Army medic during the Korean War, returned home, got married to the love of his life, Monica and for 44 years flourished and raised a family in South Wales. In 2004, he and Monica pulled up stakes and moved to Leesburg, Florida to enjoy their retirement years. The two of them enjoyed making many new friends and just enjoying life.
Frank’s lifelong skill as a welder carried through his life, both as work, and as a passion he taught others and used to become the “King of Piggies”.
A service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the Comfort Funeral Home, 6469 Olean Road, South Wales, NY. Burial for Frank and Monica immediately afterwards at the South Wales Cemetery, Warner Hill Road, South Wales, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Tavares Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
