A Clermont woman was arrested after allegedly attacking her fiancé when he confronted her about cheating with another person.
A deputy responded to a battery complaint at an undisclosed Clermont residence around 11:50 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, he was told by 34-year-old Jill Danielle Johnson that she had gotten into a physical altercation with her fiancé and partner of two years over cheating.

She advised that he pushed her into a vehicle, causing her to hit the back of her head and leaving a minor dent in the car’s frame. The situation escalated before this, when he gathered his things and put them outside the residence. She tried to leave in her vehicle but circled back when she saw him walking away to an empty lot across from her house, the report said.
Johnson then got out of her vehicle and confronted her fiancé. They stood face-to-face, yelling at each other. That was when he pushed her chest with both hands and hit her head on the vehicle, the report said.
But her fiancé, who had various scratches to his face and arms, stated he found detailed romantic and sexual content between Johnson and another person. He confronted her about this, to which she broke his glasses, slapped his face, punched him, kneed his groin and clawed at him. He pushed her off before gathering his belongings to walk away, the report said.
The deputy questioned Johnson again, and she now stated she had been physical with her fiancé inside the residence before what happened outside. She claimed that she pushed him to get him to leave, the report said.
Johnson was arrested on charge of battery (domestic) and booked at the Lake County Jail. The Louisiana native was released after posting $1,000 bond.
