U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a detainer on a woman from Honduras who was stopped for speeding by over 20 miles per hour.

An officer saw a red Mustang speed past him at 73 mph in a 50-mph zone on State Road 50 around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Clermont Police Department. After signaling the traffic stop, the driver, 20-year-old Anny Carolina Giron Alcerro, pulled over at the intersection with Citrus Tower Boulevard.

Giron Alcerro advised that she did not have a driver’s license, and she could provide only a photo of her United States Visa card. A subsequent immigration investigation determined she was in the country illegally, the report said.

The native of Honduras was then arrested on charge of no driver’s license (never had one). She was booked at the Lake County Jail, where ICE placed a detainer on her.
