Fruitland Park, FL – Barbara Anderson, a woman known for her dazzling style, nurturing spirit, and impeccable eye for beauty, passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 78.
Born with a flair for the drama and a heart full of love. Whether she was heading to the shops to find anything, clothes, shoes, plants, jewelry, or home decor, she never missed an opportunity to dress nice and shop for the things she loved. Her legendary wardrobe was only matched by her larger-than-life personality, leaving an indelible impression on everyone she met.
Barbara Anderson found peace and beauty in her flower beds and rose gardens. She spent countless hours tenderly caring for her flowers. Her home reflected her unique spirit, adorned with her beloved collection of purple glass antiques that caught the sunlight in magical ways.
Above all, Barbara Anderson loved her family. She was the keeper of memories, holding a deep appreciation for family pictures and the stories they told. Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was fierce, and her vibrant laughter filled every family gathering.
She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Lee Birden, Kellie Jean Anderson, grandchildren Earl Norwood Jr, Daija Edward (Devyn Edward), Traeton B. Mitchell, Kelila D. Mitchell and numerous great-grandchildren; and a wide circle of friends who were fortunate enough to walk in her light. She was preceded in death by her father-Clarence Eugene Hartgraves and Mother-Juanita Mary Reed.
A celebration of Barbara Anderson’s life will be held on a to determined date and time in Tri Cities Washington where she had spent her 75 years of life. Attendees are encouraged to wear bright colors or something fabulous in her honor.
“She dressed in strength and dignity, and she laughed without fear of the future.”
