A Leesburg woman was arrested for battery after allegedly slapping her boyfriend in an argument that started over money.
A deputy responded to a physical altercation between 62-year-old Patricia Ann Bray and her boyfriend at 32845 CR 473, Leesburg, at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The boyfriend advised that the argument started over money. Bray then got mad and slapped him across the left side of his face. He walked away as she sat down on a chair under a tree a few yards away, the report said.
The deputy saw Bray still sitting there and went to ask what had happened. She stated they had gotten into a verbal altercation, and she did not know if she slapped her boyfriend. However, two witnesses saw the slap, and one of them called the police, the report said.
Bray was arrested on charge of domestic battery and booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $1,000.
The Virginia native was also arrested in Dec. 2024 for toting around meth on a bicycle.
