Clarice Ann Greene, age 94, of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on May 31, 1931, in Marianna, Florida, the daughter of the late Mallory H. Simmons and Flora D. (Skinner) Simmons.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 75 years, J. C. Greene; her son, Al Greene and his wife, Betty; two grandchildren, Dr. Alexander S. Greene and his wife, Julia, and Ali M. Holt and her husband, Jordan; and four cherished great-grandchildren, Joscelyn Greene, Harper Holt, Aria Holt, and A. J. Greene; and her sister-in-law, Myra Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Freddie Simmons.
Ann was truly a people person who found joy in helping others. She gave generously of her time, her knowledge, and her heart to anyone in need. A woman of deep and abiding faith, she faithfully attended church each week and was a longtime, devoted member of Killarney Baptist Church.
Above all, Ann’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her role as “Memaw.” She poured endless love into her family, creating a legacy of warmth, kindness, and devotion that will live on for generations.
Her presence will be deeply missed and forever treasured by all who knew and loved her.
