A Paisley teen was arrested on a warrant this week in connection with a man who was fatally shot at an apartment complex in March.
Hunter Rome Johnson, 18, was located and taken into custody at 4 p.m. Thursday. He had an active warrant for a firearm-related charge and was wanted for questioning in the homicide of 37-year-old Jody Ross. The victim was found on the ground outside Parkside Apartments with several gunshot wounds back in March.

Crime Suppression Unit officers with the Leesburg Police Department spotted Johnson on Tuskegee Street. When approached, he fled on foot, leading to a brief foot pursuit. Officers quickly established a perimeter and apprehended him in a nearby wooded area.
Johnson was found in possession of a stolen handgun linked to a vehicle burglary reported earlier that morning. He was transported to UF Health Leesburg Hospital for medical clearance and later interviewed by detectives.
As a result, Johnson has been charged with second-degree murder, possession of a stolen firearm, vehicle burglary and resisting arrest. He will also face charges related to the original firearm warrant. Currently, he is being held at Lake County Jail without bond.
