A Groveland man was arrested after a cybertip about a file of child pornography led to a device used in his home.

An agent with the Cybercrimes Task Force took control of a cybertip from a Kik messenger on Feb. 12, according to an arrest report from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. They reported a user, later identified as 47-year-old Terry Duquesne Lampo, for uploading and sharing child pornography.

The cybertip included his email address, username, IP address and the digital file reported as child pornography. The file was a video that depicted screen recordings of several files labeled “boy vids.” In them, prepubescent males performed oral sex and intercourse with other juvenile males, the report said.

A subpoena was issued for the IP used to upload the file, and law enforcement learned the target device was used in Lampo’s lot at the Timber Village Mobile Home Park, 15130 Timber Village Rd., Groveland, the report said.

So, the agent and other members of the FDLE Cybercrimes Task Force executed a search warrant at that address on Thursday morning. Lampo was ordered to come to the door, to which he did not immediately comply. As agents entered the residence, they saw a back room used for storage, the report said.

Lampo was then asked if he had any electronic devices, and he stated he had a cellphone and laptops. He was told the search warrant allowed the agents to look through all electronic devices, after which he claimed to have left his cellphone at a work client’s home in Leesburg, the report said.

He denied knowing the email address or username provided by Kik. He also denied any involvement with child pornography and stated it would not be found on any of his devices, the report said.

After this interview, Lake County deputies were sent to the client’s home to look for the phone. The client advised that Lampo did not leave his phone, and she remembered seeing him take it with him when he left. Agents confronted Lampo about this, to which he stated he may have left it at a 7-Eleven. The deputies searched there, too, and found nothing, the report said.

The agents asked Lampo if he would be willing to do “locate my iPhone,” to which he stated, “I’m not going to do your job for you.” They told Lampo that they felt he was hiding information and not being truthful. He then invoked his right to remain silent, and all questions immediately stopped, the report said.

The agents proceeded to search the back room that Lampo was seen exiting at the time the warrant was being executed. They could hear a vibrating coming from the ceiling and removed a ceiling tile to find four cellphones and two tablets hidden up there, the report said.

Lampo was subsequently arrested on charge of possession of child pornography. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $35,000 bond.
