A homeless woman in Leesburg was arrested for trespassing after refusing to get up from a lawn chair at Lowe’s.

An officer responded to Lowe’s, located at 9540 U.S. Hwy. 441, regarding a suspicious person at 3:45 a.m. Thursday, April 16, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, the officer found Moree lying on a lawn chair. She was again warned to leave the premises and refused to comply. She also refused to identify herself, yet she seemed to understand all verbal commands and questions, the report said.

Concern grew about potential medical issues, so EMS drove out to evaluate Moree. She refused to let medical personnel do so, though, the report said.

Moree was arrested on charges of trespass after warning and resisting (obstructing without violence). The North Carolina native was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $2,000.
