A man was arrested after screaming in front of the New Beginnings Thrift Store for hours on end for several days.
Officers responded to a public disturbance at the New Beginnings Thrift Store, located at 415 Citrus Tower Blvd., around 10:20 a.m. Monday, April 13, according to an arrest report from the Clermont Police Department. Upon arrival, he spoke with 30-year-old Ryan Christopher Evans.

He had been seen riding his bicycle back and forth in front of the thrift store, yelling and screaming for hours a day over the last week. In doing so, he was causing a disturbance and blocking the entrance and exit of the parking lot. The business had gotten multiple complaints from patrons about this behavior. The employees added that he used to work there, but he had been banned from the premises on April 3, the report said.
The owner of Yokley Automotive across the street wanted to prosecute, as well, saying Evans had been causing a breach of peace due to the yelling and screaming. It was also disrupting his business and disturbing his customers, something he had been doing for the last few days. He had screamed for up to eight hours on prior occasions, the report said.
When speaking with Evans, the officers warned that he could be arrested if he did not stop this behavior. He disregarded their warning, and they saw him continue to ride his bike back and forth as he screamed and shouted. He stated he was protesting inequity and discrimination, the report said.
Evans was subsequently arrested on charge of disorderly conduct (brawling/fighting/corrupt public moral decency). He was booked at Lake County Jail with bond set at $500.
