A pair of Alabama women wound up in jail after allegedly skip-scanning $134 in items at Walmart.
Surveillance cameras in Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, filmed 43-year-old Erica Latrice Stanley and 28-year-old Shadedra Orlandria Stanley at a self-checkout register around 10:45 p.m. Monday, April 13, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Shadedra was caught picking up two of the same items, scanning one and bagging both. She did this several times and did not pay the full price for her merchandise. As the two were leaving, Erica put a box of assorted chips in the cart just as they passed the last point of sale, the report said.
They were then stopped by loss prevention and taken to their office. Once there, Shadedra pulled out numerous stolen items from her purse. Loss prevention recovered a total of $134.40 in merchandise, the report said.
Additionally, a check of their criminal histories revealed Erica had prior theft convictions on June 24, 2011, out of Jackson County, Mississippi, for possession of stolen property. She also had four larceny charges out of Mobile County, Alabama, from 2010, 2011 and 2022, but they did not show a disposition, the report said.
Erica was arrested on charge of retail theft (second offense) and booked at Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
Shadedra was arrested on charge of retail theft and released from jail after posting $500 bond.
