Jerry Lindner, age 80 of Leesburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. He was born on October 31, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Edward and Dorothy Lindner.

Jerry was a dedicated family man. He was a very devoted and compassionate husband to his wife Cheryl for almost 61 years. Together they had 4 children, Jeff (Michelle), Julie (Ted), Jenni (Nick) and Amy, 11 grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda), Ryan (Mary), Emily, Jacob, Nicky, Lauren, Trevor, Lucas, Jack, Michael and Sean, and one great granddaughter, Charlotte. He had 3 siblings, the late Robert (Marlene), Diane (the late Ron) and Debbie (Jim), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry grew up in Justice, IL, and graduated from Argo Community High School. He was a hardworking man, who built a career of over 35 years at 3M Company. He especially enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, had a passion for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, loved bowling, golf, and playing poker.

Jerry and his wife, Cheryl, moved to Florida in 2019, where they made many new friends, as well as enjoyed the warmth and sunshine. He was a friend to all, and brought so much positivity and happiness to everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his compassionate heart, words of wisdom, unconditional love and his favorite quote, “Enjoy life!”.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers and will be holding a private celebration to remember him.
