An Orlando woman was arrested for theft after allegedly bagging $71 in unpaid items at Walmart.

A deputy responded to a theft involving 22-year-old Miazyah Iyannah Rogers at Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, around 3:35 p.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

An asset protection employee advised that she saw Rogers put unscanned items into bags at the self-checkout. Surveillance footage showed she bypassed the scanner for $71.39 in merchandise, the report said.

Rogers was arrested on charge of retail theft and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $500 bond.
