A Leesburg man was arrested for the alleged sexual battery of a juvenile victim under 12 years of age.
Dispatch got a call from a female complainant on Sunday night advising that her coworker knew of a juvenile who was being sexually molested by 41-year-old Schubert Navarroza Macarat, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy responded to the incident location in Leesburg and learned Macarat had been sexually abusing the juvenile victim for some time. The latest incident took place on Jan. 29, the report said.
It was also determined that Macarat touched the juvenile victim inappropriately and would sometimes perform oral sex. This took place about three times a week while the coworker was at their job. Additionally, there were two videos recorded from cameras placed in the juvenile victim’s bedroom, which captured instances of the abuse, the report said.
A deputy then spoke to Macarat and asked what he would say if law enforcement had a video of him sexually battering the juvenile victim. He responded by saying, “I would say I made a mistake.” He refused to answer any more questions without an attorney present, the report said.
Macarat was arrested on charges of lewd or lascivious molestation of victim under 12 years old (domestic) and sexual battery (domestic). The native of the Philippines was booked at the Lake County Jail where he was initially held without bond.
Lake County Court records indicate Macarat filed for divorce from his wife in February.
