An Illinois woman was arrested after stealing $456 in merchandise from Walmart.

Sorah Ninio, 32, was using a self-checkout register to scan and bag the items in her cart at Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

When she tried to pay, the register denied the transaction. She still took the cart full of bagged merchandise and left the store without paying for anything. She was then confronted by loss prevention who recovered $456.09 worth of items from her, the report said.

Ninio was arrested on charge of retail theft and transported to Lake County Jail. The Ohio native was released after posting $500 bond.
