A Leesburg man was arrested for violating a no-contact order by yelling at his ex-girlfiend in an AutoZone parking lot.
The ex-girlfriend of 37-year-old Victor Antonio Garcia was at AutoZone, located at 10017 U.S. Hwy. 441, when he violated a no-contact order with her around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. This no-contact order was still active and in place as of Jan. 2 for an ongoing court case involving a stalking incident from Nov. 2025.

He was in the passenger seat of a pickup truck. The truck drove around the parking lot, turned around and left. As it passed the ex-girlfriend, Garcia rolled down the window and started yelling at her, asking if he could see his children, the report said.
The ex-girlfriend yelled back that she was calling the police and to leave her alone. He then left the area. She later gave this account, corroborated by a friend, to law enforcement with intent to press charges, the report said.
Garcia admitted to being at AutoZone earlier that day and seeing the ex-girlfriend there. However, he claimed that when he saw her, he immediately left the area to avoid any interaction as he did not want to violate the no-contact order or go back to jail. He denied yelling at or communicating with her, as well, the report said.
The New Jersey native was ultimately arrested on charge of violation of pretrial release. He was transported to Lake County Jail to be held without bond.
